Hi! I’m Chelsea—and I had a plan. It was a simple one, really: move back home to Mum and Dad’s to save some money before my wedding (technically our wedding—Daniel’s involved too). For a while, things were going great… until my lifelong love of art took over the house.

Painting, drawing, crafting—you name it, I probably had a stash of supplies for it. Before long, canvases were leaning against the walls, easels were set up in the hallway, and water jars (aka brush soup) were multiplying across every surface. Dad was beside himself. I needed more space. Much more space.

That’s when the idea hit me: what if I created a space not just for me, but for others like me? People who love to create but don’t have the room or time at home. People who want to paint, draw, collage or sculpt—but not deal with the mess or pressure.

And so, Let’s Dilly Dally was born.

Located in the heart of Nambour, Let’s Dilly Dally is a community art space on the Sunshine Coast where anyone can unwind, explore their creativity, and meet like-minded people. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just someone who hasn’t picked up a pencil since high school, you’re welcome here.

We run weekly workshops, open studio sessions, and social events that are beginner-friendly, LGBTQ+ inclusive, and all about relaxing through art. There are no grades, no judgment, and no pressure to be “good.” Just good vibes, great company, and a space to experiment.

Let’s Dilly Dally isn’t a classroom—it’s your third space. Not home. Not work. Just somewhere to get creative without the cleanup.
